Elections in Serbia: Vučić wins – media

Vucic wins Serbian presidential election

Vučić’s main opponent in the presidential election was the former chief of the General Staff, Zdravko Ponosha.

The incumbent President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is leading by a wide margin in the presidential elections held today in the Balkan country. On Sunday, April 3, reports N1 referring to the results of an exit poll conducted jointly by Ipsos and the Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID).

According to the exit poll in the early parliamentary elections, President Vučić’s coalition “Together we can do everything” is leading with 43.6% of the vote. This is somewhat less than Vučić’s political force received in the 2020 parliamentary elections (60%).

In second place is the opposition coalition “Unity for Victory” (12.9%).

In the presidential election, Vučić can win even in the first round – an exit poll gives him 59.8% of the vote.

It is known that on April 3, presidential and parliamentary elections were held in Serbia, in which the incumbent President Aleksandar Vucic and his Progressive Party opposed the opposition promising to fight corruption and improve environmental protection.

Vučić ran for a second five-year term promising peace and stability.

Earlier it was reported that in Hungary ruling party of Prime Minister Viktor Orban Fidesz is well ahead of his opposition rivals after Sunday’s parliamentary elections.
