“After the parliamentary elections in Georgia, I plan to put the issue of George on the agenda of an informal meeting of the European Council in Budapest,” he wrote.
Charles Michel noted that “we take into account the preliminary evaluation of the OSCE / ODIHR” and we asked the Central Election Commission in Georgia, as well as other relevant organizations, to fulfill their role. In particular, to quickly, transparently and independently investigate all violations and allegations related to the elections.
“These violations need to be clarified in detail and addressed by all political forces is especially important now,” – wrote Michelle.
The head of the European Council said that the European Council at the November meeting will assess the current situation and determine further steps in relations with Georgia.
