The candidate Jesús Martínez Loira presented his work team on Thursday to run for the presidency del Deportivo from next May 28. Loira announced in his group the presence of Juan Vázquez, Tito Ramallo, Sofía Toro, Vicente Castro “Teté”, businessman Luís Salgado and Raúl Muñoz Maestre. Loira explained that next week he will announce the last of his team members. Once his possible advisers were listed, he advanced that from next week they will talk exclusively about football and specific ideas.
“We wanted a structure with people who sit and carry Deportivo inside“, advanced the candidate in relation to his work group. Particularly noteworthy is the position of Tito Ramallo, former Fabril coach and currently a member of the sports leadership led by Carmelo del Pozo. Ramallo asked Deportivo for permission to focus on the campaign. Tito would direct the sports area, in a position parallel to that of the sports director. “We understand that the technical secretary has to be closely linked to the city”, confesses the candidate, who refers to the position of Ramallo as a position “that does not have to be linked to results “
Tito Ramallo, for his part, stated that “I want them to see that I position myself. It scared me at first, but I have experience and insights. I want to help Deportivo grow ”. The former coach of the subsidiary believes that in his case, the comfortable thing was to wait, but he believes that it was necessary to step forward and be linked to the candidacy.
Campaign in full swing
The candidate Martínez Loira took advantage of the event to “invite everyone to hold the appropriate debates next week so that sportsmanship knows in detail what is proposed.”
Loira also announced that “there will be structural changes, but it is not a step against anyone”. Regarding his options to be the substitute for Tino Fernández, he revealed that he had not met “with the large shareholders. I’m just focusing on my show. ” Jesús Martínez Loira did not hide that he seeks “the support of the current president, the former president and sportsmanship. The important thing for me is in the project. My goal is that a Dépor has the best possible project and the best team directing it ”.
Loira also referred to the possible remuneration of the council. “Football tends to be remunerated, but the whole time we are there it will be unpaid advice.” However, he dropped that “Dépor will not be able to compete in the long term if it does not compete with the same rules as the others.” Finally, Martínez Loira made a reference to the announcement of the presentation of the candidacy of Fernando Vidal. “It is one more candidacy. Everyone knows him and I consider him a sportsman and I cannot say anything else.”
