The FDP in the region shows its goals in Donauwörth
The election campaign recently kicked off FDP Donau-Ries in Donauwörth in the restaurant zum Goldenen Hirsch. Alois Jäger, district chairman Dillingen and District Council for Schwaben, explained to the numerous participants who appeared according to the press release the importance of securing the gene pool of old fruit varieties that can then also cope with climate change. To this end, the Schwaben district in Schlachters is supporting a project with 500,000 euros over ten years. “But we also need a branch in northern Swabia, because the varieties native to there need the rough climate of the Swabian Alb,” said Jäger, referring to the FDP’s application. He gave a lecture on water protection in the district and sustainability in the district day. Jäger made this clear with the help of a ballpoint pen made from waste paper that the district council uses.
Maximilian Funke-Kaiser, state chairman of the Young Liberals Bavaria and top candidate for the federal election, emphasized in his speech how important a strong liberal party is in the German Bundestag.
Now, when “the basic rights of the citizens are more and more curtailed by the Corona crisis, the global isolation increases and becomes Germany developed in the direction of a socialist welfare state ”, a party is needed that boldly and optimistically campaigns for a strong social market economy, individual freedom and a promise of advancement. Funke-Kaiser calls for a digital education agenda for more equal opportunities for the young generation, a technology-friendly economic policy and a comprehensive tax reform for more financial freedom. The Bundestag candidate for the local constituency, Marcus Schürdt, made it clear how important a new, clearly structured energy law is that is sustainable and economically viable and provides affordable energy. He also doubted the sense of electric mobility with battery technology, because it was not sustainable. According to Schürdt, it is much more important to demand and promote alternative concepts.
Research and development is a very essential and important economic factor in Germany. Marcus Schürdt energetically demanded an immediate improvement in the school system. Schools and pupils must be digitally equipped. Schürdt feared that the school debacle would repeat itself in the wake of the second corona wave. (pm)
