Eldest Grandson of Franco, Daniel Martínez-Bordiú, Set to Get Married – A Look into His Life Before the Wedding

The appointment is this weekend, at the Valdefuentes family farm, in Arroyomolinos, near Madrid. The boyfriend,
Daniel Martínez-Bordiú, is the eldest son of the model and presenter Jose Toledo and her ex-husband, the fifth grandson of Francisco Franco, Cristóbal Martínez-Bordiú. Daniel will say “I do” to his girlfriend, Alejandra. The whole family is preparing to celebrate a big wedding, which will bring together all the Francos.

The oldest of Franco’s grandchildren,
Carmen Martínez-Bordiúwill come from Portugal, where she has lived retired for a few years, and Luis Alfonso de Borbón, the groom’s cousin, will also be present with his wife, Margarita Vargas, in the company of their children, as well as Jaime Martínez-Bordiú, the youngest of the grandchildren of the Generalissimo, and his wife, the businesswoman Marta Fernández, the last to marry in the clan, although it was a signature before a notary, before two witnesses, in April 2021. Fabiola and Cyra Toledo are also expected, sisters of Jose Toledo, to whom she is very close.

In addition, numerous friends of the couple and relevant figures from high society will be present with a
close relationship with the Francos. A pre-wedding party is planned on Friday to welcome guests, and on Saturday the wedding and a grand celebration will take place. Valdefuentes, of 10 hectares, is the ideal place to preserve the privacy of the couple and those attending. That is why it has been the place where the family has celebrated numerous events, including several weddings. The wedding of Francisco Franco Suelves, eldest son of and American businesswoman Lian Lay Fournier, was also held here. They have a two-year-old daughter and will attend their cousin’s wedding.

What has Daniel Martínez-Bordiú’s life been like before getting married?

Daniel and his brother Diego, 25 years old, also spent their childhood on this farm with their parents. Daniel, 33 years old, is the eldest son of Jose Toledo and Cristóbal Martínez-Bordiú and the first of his children to marry. The presenter and Franco’s grandson ended their marriage in September 2017, after more than thirty years of living together. Daniel, who today is dedicated to the real estate business, after undertaking several projects, was then living with his grandmother, Carmen Franco, with whom he had a very close relationship.

The young man settled in the capital while studying Business Administration at the Business Institute. Daniel suffered
a serious accident which almost cost him his life, in March 2009, while practicing trials on the farm and he collided with a cable that he did not see and almost severed his neck. It was one of his cousins, the little son of his aunt Mariola, who took him to the emergency room at the Doce de Octubre Hospital. They had to reconstruct his trachea, but fortunately Daniel recovered completely, although after a long period of convalescence, during which he had to go to a speech therapist, because he had partially lost his voice.

For a while five years ago, Daniel went out with
Silvia Guaded, heir to the well-known MaryPaz shoe stores. However, that courtship, which the young woman confirmed, was brief. Despite having the last name Franco, both Daniel and Diego have a
very discreet life and away from the media. She was barely seen in the Valley of the Fallen, along with her other relatives, on the day of the exhumation of Francisco Franco’s remains.
