SHAFTS – An elderly lady has been the victim of fraud by a man posing as an employee of ABN Amro. A 22-year-old man from Gieterveen made his bank accounts and PIN codes available to the scammers who stole almost 10,000 euros. He stated on Wednesday before the police judge in Assen that he did not know that his bank accounts were being used for criminal activities, a so-called money mule.
