An elderly woman was robbed in her own home at Huigenbos in Zuidoost this evening. The robber posed as a parcel deliverer.
At the beginning of the afternoon, the man rang the doorbell at the home of the elderly woman, who, according to witnesses, was around 80 years old. When the resident opened her front door, the robber pushed her to the ground and threatened her with a knife.
The woman told police that the man remained in the home for hours and eventually left the home around 6:30 p.m. About an hour later, the woman called the police. An ambulance did not have to be called.
The police are currently investigating the woman’s home. Both the police and forensic investigation are present. No one has yet been arrested for the robbery.
