Elderly man dies after vomiting blood during flight The incident took place on the Mumbai-Ranchi flight of Indigo Airlines. The flight was made an emergency landing at Nagpur after the passenger’s health deteriorated. But the 62-year-old died while being taken to the hospital.
The incident happened around 8 pm. Devanand Tiwari, a passenger on an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Ranchi, reportedly vomited blood. He vomited a large amount of blood on the flight and was taken to Kims Hospital in Nagpur where he died.
The passenger had tuberculosis and chronic kidney disease, the hospital said in a press release. The body was taken to the Government Medical College Hospital for further proceedings. After necessary medical procedures and clearance, the Indigo flight resumed its journey from Nagpur to Ranchi.
