Elderly Man Brutally Attacked for Wallet in Givors, France: 15 Days of ITT Prescribed to Victim

Saturday morning in Givors, a septuagenarian who was walking was violently attacked by a group of individuals who wanted his wallet. 15 days of ITT were prescribed to the victim.

The facts occurred on the night of Friday May 19 to Saturday May 20, in the city center of Givors, in the Rhône. It was around 5:00 a.m. Saturday, and a 78-year-old man was taking his usual morning walk. It was then, reports Actu17, that a group of six individuals swooped down on him.

The walker’s attackers were after his wallet. Faced with the resistance of the victim, the assailants threw her to the ground and hit her several times. We would have even jumped on the septuagenarian. A witness to the scene immediately alerted the police. When they arrived, someone had already taken care of transporting the victim to the hospital.

15-year-old arrested at home

Testimonies allowed the location of a group of six suspects, who were near a bench. One of these individuals, a 15-year-old boy, was already known to the police for similar acts. He was arrested at his home. It emerged he breached a court order that required him not to leave his home between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. On Tuesday, the minor was presented to a juvenile judge.
