Elderly Cuban man missing in Havana is found dead

Relatives of Juan Miguel Alfonso Pino, the Cuban who was reported missing in the capital municipality of Marianao last Monday, January 15confirmed that he was found dead this Thursday.

The information was shared by Thalía Corrales, niece of Alfonso Pino, who thanked those who bothered to share their requests for help on social networks. She in turn urged the community to respect the pain her family was feeling due to the loss.

“Thank you to all the people who were attentive and concerned about my uncle. He has already appeared! God has it in His Glory. We ask people to exercise discretion. The family is in mourning and very hurt by the loss. EPD. Juan Miguel Pino Alfonso”, reads the publication.

While the user did not share more details about the discovery, Cuban activist Yamilka Laffita, known on social networks as Lara Crofs, indicated that the body would have appeared hanging near the José Antonio Echeverría Technological University of Havana (CUJAE).

“Juanito’s body has just been found near the CUJAE in the Ocho Vías ‘hanged’, a source close to the family has just confirmed to me. Very sad….EPD”, reads the Facebook post.

Finally, the activist pointed to the undeniable increase in the case of deaths that have been reported on social networks, whether due to murders, accidents or deaths not clarified by the authorities.

“I have already lost count of the cases of people dying from murders, accidents or deaths that have not yet been clarified so far this year. “Cuba was no longer that safe island that was so loudly promulgated,” he concluded.

In cases like this, the Castro authorities must initiate an investigation to determine if the case was a suicide or if it was a murder intended to be covered up, however, it is unlikely that the official press will comment on the matter if it is a murder. crime, unless they manage to solve the case and want to create propaganda celebrating the actions of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint).

In recent days, Alfonso Pino’s family asked the Havana community for help, requesting any information that could help them locate him. In those publications, they indicated that he left his house on January 15 without his cell phone or his identification card.
