Two elderly people were found dead in a home in Sint-Martens-Lierde, a sub-municipality of Lierde in East Flanders. The police started an investigation.
An 86-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman were found dead in a home in Sint-Martens-Lierde on Thursday. When they didn’t show up for a weekly appointment with the man’s sister, she went to take a look. She could see the two bodies inside the house. The emergency services were called and the fire brigade forced open the door.
It is not clear under what circumstances the two died. At first glance there were no traces of burglary. (edp, jvh)
