Yesterday the nominees for the 2023 Gayming Awards were announced, according to the creators the only LGBT video game award in the world. Wylde Flowers, SIGNALIS and the Borderlands franchise received the most nominations, garnering three awards simultaneously.
I am in awe of the incredible lineup of applicants this year. The fact that two of the top three titles this year are indie games is a testament to the breakthrough in LGBTQ+ indie gaming. I also love the variety of games featured: transgender stories, awesome characters, and developers from all over the world. Huge congrats to everyone and I can’t wait to see who takes home the prizes in April.
