Elda offers a course to increase digital skills aimed at unemployed people over 45 years old | Radio Elda | Present

The Elda Town Hall, via Idelsa and with the collaboration of the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, has launched a free course for the months of May and June under the title ‘Basic Digital Competences’.

The course is aimed at people over 45 who are looking for a job and are interested in acquiring basic digital skills to “Take advantage of the wealth of new possibilities associated with digital technologies”, has stated the mayor of Economic Development and Employment, Silvia Ibáñez.

The training will unfold from May 17 to June 18, Monday to Friday (except Tuesday), from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the UNED Classrooms.

The training program includes the following sections: basic use of the operating system, information processing, communication, content creation, security, problem solving, social media, information and privacy policies, and viruses, malware, phishing and other threats.

The requirements to attend the courses are to be unemployed, have between 45 and 60 years and provide a photocopy of the DNI and Certificate of Labor Life.

Silvia Ibáñez has assured that “this course, which is part of our commitment to the training offer, is aimed at improve the employability of people that due to age or lack of skills have problems finding a job. At this time, it is essential to acquire basic knowledge about the possibilities offered by new technologies and the internet to access the labor market ”.
