Elavarasan is on duty as a Malaysian U-23 coach from September 2022. At the same time, Elavarasan was also on duty as a Malaysian U-22 coach who played in the 2022 SEA Games.
Elavarasan was dismissed from his position after a meeting with Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, the President of FAM. “He returned to focus on his responsibilities as assistant to head coach Kim Pan Gon,” wrote the official FAM website.
