In mid-August, the next Premier League season begins, where Manchester United once again aims to fight for the top spot after finishing in second place last season.
On Monday, the team began its pre-season training, where far from all players were involved. This is because a number of players are still playing the European Championships with their national teams, or have time off after leaving the championship.
A player who was in any case present when United began their pre-season training was Swedish Anthony Elanga, 19. In pictures published on United’s website, Elanga can be seen and to a picture in Swedish, United writes:
“Anthony Elanga is eager to build on the excellent finish he had last season.”
During last year’s season, Elanga got playing time for United in the Premier League and the Swede was also noted for a goal when United won against Wolverhampton in the league game.
Elanga currently belongs to United’s U23 team and it is unclear how much he will play for the club’s A team next season.
