Two young men, a 19-year-old citizen and a 23-year-old foreigner, were arrested yesterday, 22/02, in the morning at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport, by police officers of the Drug Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security, as they allegedly tried to import drugs from Spain.
In the possession of the 19-year-old and at his home, following an investigation that followed his arrest, the following were found and confiscated, among others:
- 3 kg and 212 g. raw cannabis
- 10,204 euros
- precision electronic scale
In particular, the 19-year-old was identified as part of the actions of the Drug Enforcement Administration, to prevent the importation of narcotic substances from European countries via air routes, and was arrested when he arrived by air from Spain. The 23-year-old was waiting for him at the airport to pick him up and was also arrested, while a quantity of 0.6 grams of cannabis was found in his possession.
Those arrested were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
