EL UNIVERSAL wins design award for piece on deaths from Covid

THE UNIVERSAL got the bronze medal in the category ‘Inside page report’ in the ÑH20 awards, organized by the Society for News Design Spain (SND-E) and the SND South America, where 102 media and 14 countries participated

These awards recognize the best of journalistic design from Spain, Portugal and Latin America.

He report design focused on the issue of 50 thousand dead after four and a half months of pandemic.

For this work, the daily deaths from the first confirmed case in Mexico, from February 27 to August 6, were graphically visualized, and the comparison of deaths between the different states of the country was presented graphically from matrices of point that represented each of the deceased in the country.
