The residents of the El Tenis neighborhood of Rancagua are happy because they now have a headquarters for community activities, thanks to the concession of free use of the headquarters of the Residents’ Association, which will serve as a meeting center for the residents of this sector of the regional capital.
The headquarters is located at Francisco Gana No. 504, and its main objective is to promote the development of the commune and the interests of its members in the aforementioned sector, which will serve to manage the solution of problems, proposing and executing projects for the benefit of its inhabitants.
The BBNN Regional Secretary, Mauricio Pereira, was present at the ceremony to hand over the headquarters; the mayor of Rancagua, Emerson Avendaño; the president of the Residents’ Association, Arturo Adasme, as well as the directors of the Residents’ Association, who symbolically signed the contract to legally confirm the handover of this symbolic headquarters.
Mayor Emerson Avendaño acknowledged that “recovering spaces in the city center is always difficult for neighbors to meet, but also It is important for the development of the community” and asked those in charge of this headquarters to present projects for a better use of these spaces.”
He indicated that the municipality has subsidies for financing territorial organizations and neighborhood councils to improve their headquarters, “we have the best disposition, will and budget to do it.”
The Seremi of BBNN clarified that the legal figure of this delivery is in a loan, since the property is granted for a certain number of years, making free use of the headquarters and they can invest, accessing funds, as if they were its owners.
For the president of the JJVV, Arturo Adasme said that “this is an identity that they did not have in practice and they are willing to conduct workshops in different specialties, such as martial arts, dance and pilates.”
The local leader said that other rooms will be used for workshops or talks in the health areas, with professionals to care for the elderly.
