The Panda El Soto celebrated its 60th anniversary as the culmination of the 2023 festivities. He did it with a paella in which some 200 members participated. The appointment took place in the Plaza de la Huerta Herrera and after it a popular bingo took place with great participation. The subsequent gymkhana was very lively.
El Soto was founded in 1963, fruit of the union of three lemonades: El Capote, El Puro and El Soto. It took its name from the `El Soto´ payment where it had its first headquarters. His clothing consists of white pants with a green ribbon on the right side and at the waist, a white shirt with a shield on the left, and a green handkerchief with a shield.
The coat of arms is made up of a cape, a drum and a dulzaina within the municipal coat of arms without the head of the horse and the crown.
During the festivities they carry out different activities, the best known being the Pacifier Encierrillowith its bulls, oxen, horses and ambulance and the Fried Egg Verbenilla, which this year has celebrated its 35th edition, reaching the figure of 2,300 fried eggs delivered. Its popular bingo is also highly appreciated by members and neighbors.
It is also worth noting the proclamation that every Friday before the festivities is hosted by the local panda run by one of its members. There the anthem is sung whose lyrics were written by Beatriz Salamanca and Javier Pilar put it to music.
The Panda currently has about 550 members.
This year El Soto has had new directive and also with a new store, located on Calle Los Hornos.
