In the women’s category, El Salvador lost the opportunity to advance to the semis when they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Costa Rica. Ximena Esperanza fell 0-2 (2-6 and 2-6) against Samanta Smith from Costa Rica, and Camila Moratalla lost 1 to 2 (3-6, 7-6 (4) and 0-6) against Valentina Montero in the second series game.
