The City of El Paso has received 12,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and is partnering with the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) and the Texas Army to administer between 1,200 and 1,800 additional vaccines each week to registered at EPCovidVaccine.com.

El Paso currently provides vaccines to people 16 years of age and older. The city continues to give priority to those 75 and older.

Vaccinations continue to be administered by appointment at 301 George Perry, the El Paso Convention Center and 9301 Alameda (for seniors). Beginning Monday, April 5, the City will begin administering a limited number of vaccines, by appointment only, at two of its Covid-19 Clinics, located at 7380 Remcon and 220 South Stanton (corner of First and Stanton).

In addition to the 12,000 assigned doses received, the City, TDEM and the Texas Armed Forces will administer between 1,200 and 1,800 additional vaccines, by appointment only, at the East Side Sports Complex, 14380 Montwood Drive, each week.

Residents must pre-register to receive the vaccine in the City of El Paso by visiting EPCovidVaccine.com and clicking on the pre-registration form or by calling (915) 212-6843.

Once pre-registered, residents will be notified of vaccine availability and provided next steps. If people have already pre-registered, they do not need to re-register as they have already been put on the waiting list.

Pre-registration at the Zoo

Community members visiting the El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens this Easter weekend will also be able to pre-register for the vaccine, if they haven’t already done so.

City staff will offer registration assistance during zoo operating hours. As a reminder, the zoo is open from 9:30 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Visitors and zoo staff must wear face masks. For more information about the zoo, visit elpasozoo.org.

Walk-in immunization registration assistance is also available at the City’s Covid-19 Clinics located at 220 S. Stanton (corner of First and Stanton) and 7380 Remcon. Drop-in sites are open from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, to assist with the pre-registration process. Covid-19 vaccines are available by appointment only.

Health officials remind the public to continue wearing face shields, wash your hands frequently, and monitor your distancing, regardless of whether or not you’ve received the vaccine. For more information, visit www.EPStrong.org.
