The Ministry of the Environment, Waste, Recycling, Safety and Emergencies has collaborated with the CEIP Valverde in the acquisition of some four hundred bags to be able to fill them with the compost that is generated in the school itself and, subsequently, distribute it among students, teachers and staff not teacher.
The compost made since September of last year has been used in the school gardens. From now on, with this project and, in exchange for a voluntary financial contribution, they will be able to use it in their respective homes, in their gardens or in their orchards.
Each bag contains 2 kilos, approximately. This project has a very important part, since families, teachers and non-teaching staff will be able to donate and help an NGO in Fuerteventura that is repatriating children from the conflict in Ukraine.
In the future, the school intends that all herreños who want to can collaborate with this project. This action is within the Erasmus Plus project.
