A true experience is “El Brote”, an Argentine play that will be presented in Chile between October 10 and 13 on the stage of the Municipal Theater of Las Condes and that has had an impact due to the intense and impeccable performance of its protagonist, Roberto Peloni. , renowned Argentine actor, applauded and of great acting skill. This production, by the Compañía Criolla, was written and is directed by the trans-Andean playwright, Emiliano Dionisi. A montage that captivates with a text that plays between drama and comedy.
Walking a fine line between fiction and reality, the work explores the internal world of a theater company and the tensions within it. From the point of view of the protagonist, played by Roberto Peloni, he finds himself at an existential crossroads as he questions the limits between his life and the script that defines it.
The character, who leads this journey in monologue, has been trying to emerge in the theater for years, but only obtains supporting roles, unleashing an acid look and a wave of emotions that range from frustration to paranoia.
The work, which premiered with great success on February 13, 2023 at the Teatro del Pueblo in Buenos Aires, has been praised for the innovation within its narrative and the reflection it offers to the audience. Furthermore, Emiliano Dionisi, the talented playwright and director, has taken his texts to stages in Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Spain, establishing himself as an influential figure in current Latin American theater.
