- It is 10 years celebrating automotive history through an important selection of classic British-made cars.
Lima, October 12, 2024.-This Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20, more than 50 classic British cars manufactured from 1939 onwards will be exhibited at the Family Park in San Borja.
Attendees will see various models, from small coupes such as the Mini Minor/Cooper and the Austin A30, to sports cars such as the MG TD/A/B/BGT/C, Austin Healey Sprite MK1/MK3, Triumph TR3A/Spitfire/MK3 and Jaguar E- Type. Finally, luxury sedans like Jaguar Saloon/S-Type/XJ6 and Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.
The vehicles belong to members of the Antique Automobile Club of Peru, Nicolini Collection, Club Triumph Spitfire Peru, Mini Clásicos, British Sports Cars Peru, all prestigious collectors.
Pedro González-Orbegoso Martinto, director of the CAAP and spokesperson for the event, comments: “It is a free cultural event for the general public focused on the dissemination of the Peruvian motorsport heritage. The main objective is to raise awareness of the historical importance of British vehicles imported and/or assembled in Peru, and to promote their restoration and conservation.”
The opening event will feature the participation of representatives of the Antique Automobile Club of Peru and the BRITÁNICO, who will welcome the district authorities, clubs present, participants in the exhibition and the general public.
