Due to the security situation, El Al is extending the easy cancellation policy for flights departing until August 17th. El Al’s efforts in recent days included reinforcement flights and aircraft upgrades on existing flights, and increased the number of seats to and from Israel with around 8,000 seats, until the company was offering a total of 132,000 seats in one week. Reinforcement flights have been introduced and flight upgrades on existing flights at a uniform and fixed price, as well as an extension of the lenient cancellation policy, for the benefit of Israeli travelers all who were lost after their flight was cancelled. thanks to the extraordinary efforts made by El Al in recent days in coordination with the Chairman of the Economic Committee, the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of Transport.
Customers who purchased a flight ticket until Sunday, August 4 inclusive, for the flight scheduled to take off until the evening of Saturday, August 17, 2024 (inclusive), can send the flight ticket off without cancellation fees, and get a voucher to use in the future for El Al flights. The vouchers can be redeemed until December 31, 2025. It is possible to issue vouchers on all types of tickets sold at El Al: LITE, CLASSIC and FLEX.
An El Al spokesperson points out that the company continues to do everything it can to allow as many Israelis to return to Israel. El Al tries to operate the flight schedule as usual, and even increases flights to nearby destinations in Greece and Cyprus, at a uniform price of $283 for a one-way flight from Athens to Tel Aviv and $228 for a one-way flight from Larnaca into Tel Aviv.
