The El Al airline, which at the outbreak of war maintains the air bridge from Israel to the world, launched a new campaign under the message “Fly with the flag”. This is a large-scale campaign that will appear on television, digital, social networks and outdoor signage through the McCann advertising agency.
The campaign brings to light the Israeli story of October 7, in which thousands of Israelis were abroad, found out about what was happening in the country and began looking for a way to return home to Israel as soon as possible. In the video, similar to reality, the members discover that all flights to Israel have been canceled, and El Al is left almost alone In operating flights to and from Israel. El Al flights at the beginning of the war were characterized by many young people who cut short their trip, and came to the reserves to fight for the country. After four months of intense fighting, the friends in the video meet again and fly to complete their trip.
The essence of the campaign and the video is to express El Al’s commitment to the citizens of Israel during both wartime and normal times, while keeping the skies open for business travel, ventilation flights, and the like.
From the first day of the war, El Al took part in the national effort, was harnessed to fly cargo, reservists, families of the kidnapped and more. As part of the company’s mobilization as a full partner of the headquarters of the families of the abductees, 15% of the billboards it purchased as part of the campaign will be donated, for the full use of the headquarters.
In addition to assisting and working with the headquarters of the abductees, El Al salutes the regular and reserve members of the IDF, and will make a series of moves to honor them that will be revealed in the coming days.
VP of Marketing, Digital and Communications, Nadav Hanin: “The campaign brings to light the Israeli story of the beginning of the war and shows us once again how intertwined El Al is in the history of the State of Israel as the air bridge connecting Israel to the world. We are proud to be the Israeli airline that carries the Israeli flag on the tail of its planes, and maintains a diverse flight schedule to dozens of destinations in the world, while ensuring the security and safety of our passengers. In the last four months, we have been closely accompanying the headquarters of the families of the abductees and assisting them in everything necessary, including flying representatives of the families of the abductees to diplomatic missions, and flying representations to raise international awareness. We will continue to do everything we can to help them and raise awareness of the issue, and as part of the campaign El Al donated 15% of the billboards to the headquarters of the families of the abductees, so that the message to bring them home will continue to resonate throughout Israel.”
