The 62nd place in the world in terms of the research work of its scientists was won by the University of Athens EKPA, which is also ranked first in Greece in the same category. The Foundation thus approaches the top 50 universities and organizations in terms of research and new knowledge worldwide.
According to the data, the University of Athens rose this year to 62nd place worldwide from 92nd place last year among 24284 Institutions and organizations. The above is evaluated and ranked by the AD Scientific Index World Top research ranking
Ranking of universities
The ranking is the first and only one based on overall and recent research indicators
productivity of the most important scientists and researchers of the universities. More specifically, the performance, score and position of each university is calculated based on the scores of the h-index and i10 indicators and the references to Google Scholar of its research potential.
Second in Greece is Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 194th place globally, third is the University of Patras in 330th place globally, fourth is the University of Crete in 399th place globally and fifth is the National Technical University of Athens in 425th place globally.
In Cyprus, the University of Cyprus is first in position 678 globally.
