‘EKJU’ allocates 2.7 million euros for the production of garden furniture

Wooden garden furniture and accessories manufacturer SIA “EKJU” will use the financing – 2.7 million euros – to increase production and sales, the bank informs “Citadel“.

SIA “EKJU” is a domestic manufacturer of wooden garden furniture and accessories and employs more than 170 people in two factories in Amata region. The company exports 99% of its production to European supermarket chains.

Furniture we produce only to order, so already the production capacities have been planned and 90% of the order contracts have been concluded for the next year. Due to the pandemic, production capacities have not been reduced – in the last five years, demand has doubled, as we have purposefully invested in the sales team and production process improvement using efficiency improvement methods LEAN and TOC, “says Māris Danieks, Chairman of the Board of SIA” EKJU “.

The credit line for working capital with the “ALTUM” guarantee will allow to increase the production and delivery volumes in the winter season in preparation for the new spring season.

“EKJU” furniture is made of Northern European coniferous wood, preserving the natural properties and appearance of the material to the maximum. The company is also developing export sales for the new brand – ecological garden and terrace furniture “AMATA”.
