Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – A Suikoden Successor by Rabbit & Bear Studios

When the intentions they conveyed were brought to Kickstarter with a short teaser that seemed to capture everything they wanted to offer, almost all the hearts of JRPG gamers, especially those who had grown up with Suikoden, seemed relieved and happy. That finally a successor series that actually came from a team of franchise veterans who had been abandoned by Konami was finally ready to bring this sensation back to life under the banner of the Rabbit & Bear Studios team. The good news? He looks increasingly solid.

Even though they have shared quite a lot of content over the last few years, Rabbit & Bear Studios and the publisher – 505 Games seem to be going all out in the latest trailer which was used to announce the opening of pre-orders for this game across platforms. Filled with new footage, we can finally see some of Suikoden’s “distinctive” features that have been a mystery for so long – such as battle scenarios that are handled like strategy games to 1 vs 1 character battle scenes. undeniably, it evokes its own sense of nostalgia.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes itself is planned to be released on April 23 2024 for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Xbox Game Pass, Nintendo Switch, PC Game Pass, and of course – PC (via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store).
