Fischer: I want to drink from the cup again
Frankfurt’s President Peter Fischer looked ahead to the celebratory evening of Eintracht in Barcelona on Wednesday evening: “I want to drink from the damn cup – but I have to wait until Seville for that.” The final of the Europa League takes place in Seville. “None of any experts are saying that we’re going to make any progress. We want to seize the opportunity we don’t have,” Fischer continued. Board spokesman Axel Hellmann compared the game at FC Barcelona with the cup final against FC Bayern in 2018. “It’s a final. Nobody needs to tell us how big these opponents are. But we know our club is capable of creating special things.”
