At Eintracht Frankfurt, no real cup fever wants to spread before the semi-finals in Munich. Sports director Fredi Bobic already evaluates what has been achieved so far as a success.

Does Berlin still have a charm for Eintracht Frankfurt?

But it is clear that the cup has its own laws this year. The big tingling, the tingling and pulsating does not occur.
Eintracht Frankfurt: Without new signings for the coming season?
For Fredi Bobic, the semifinals in the cup are of some importance, also to correctly evaluate the season. Of course, Eintracht in the league fell short of (own) expectations, but in the cup and partly in the Europa League, it was able to set highlights. Ergo, the 48-year-old does not want to be badly talked about this round, “the boys had to do a lot”, playing 32 games in the preliminary round alone. “That was a ride.” Therefore, one should not be too critical, “this is wailing at a high level”, the goal is to “work forward again” in the future. But the truth is also that the performances this season were too fluctuating, the personnel policy did not work through and Eintracht could not implement its style of play – brute, fast, punchy.
It is unclear which staff will start the new season with. Bobic would not be surprised if there was a “zero calculation”, so no new player would come and no current player would leave. It is not very likely. Eintracht will strengthen their team, either through lending with purchase options or with smart purchases in nearby countries. A refresher is imperative, because the current team is not strong, fast and resilient enough for higher goals.
