No matter when you were born – at some point in your life you will have encountered – or will still encounter – the lines from “One, Two, Police”.
The song comes from the Italian dance music project Mon-Thurspresented the first single from the accompanying studio album “What is that?“ and is one of the absolute “trash”Eurodance-Classics.
The track is supposedly by Falcos “The Commissionerand triosYes yes yes“ inspires, which explains the incoherent bits of German words. To this day, the song alone counts Spotify over 35 million clicks.
So it’s no wonder that the song has been copied, remixed and reanimated countless times. The musicians who have dared to take on the Eurodance hit so far include Schlager-Star DJ Robin and the industrial metal band Icebreaker.
But even within the electronic music scene, “One, two, police“has been republished several times. From Umm Ozcan, Sylwa Maziarz & Comfort noise, Amero & Danny Ores, Max+Johann & IN THE PRIZE as well as Promis3.
Now Jens Niederhagen aka Jenz in luck the matter accepted and together with Kick-Y his version of “One, Two Police”. Mental Madness Records released – in this case a stomping, pumping bass house track.
Niederhagen himself is a “child” of the 90s. In 1996 his first single “Nobody plays with me“Under the pseudonym Jenz Im Glück single in the top 15 of the German charts. The single “In loveand the album “Dance baby!followed.
The DJ and producer is still very busy today. He also produces under the artist name Caspa Houzerstarted 2021 with “Old school Wonderland“his rave hit project”Technobanditand started his tech trance project Niederhagen in 2022.
