Eini has never taken a gig break during his 47-year career. For him, a maximum of one-month vacations is a break. Even then, though, Eini doesn’t necessarily abandon music.

– It’s a holiday for me that I don’t go to gigs. Still, I might make an album or go to the studio to sing, Eini says.

The sensitive side on display in autumn

Self-confidence was found in my forties

– I was a singing jukebox. I presented what people wanted, Eini says.

– But those were huge years of growth. I had to work hard at the grassroots level. In retrospect, I value those years very much.

– Those who make fake pages are the most burdensome of all. There are many fake pages out there for me too. It’s an endless swamp, says Eini.

Although Eini receives a lot of positive messages through social media, there are also some negative messages and reviews. However, Eini says that she has learned to deal with negative messages as well.

– This is how you think about it, that person has a bad feeling. He has to break it down into something and this time that target is me or someone else, Eini describes.

Support from home

Eini and his spouse Lars Pajumäki celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in the summer. The couple is united not only by love but also by Ein’s career. At Sony Music Live, Lars is responsible for the concert sales of many artists, including Ein.

According to Ein, Lars is a big help because the workload is hard.

– I don’t need to be nervous. He makes sure that my gig lists are in order and that I go to a certain place, at a certain time, says Eini.

At home, we don’t talk about gigs, but Eini gets support and understanding from her husband.

– When I come home tired, I’m not necessarily the best and most wonderful wife at that moment. Then I can rest and be. The next morning is already different, Eini says.

– The entertainment industry is a tough industry. I am privileged to have such a union.
