” href=” a possible move to the OHL has been talked about for some time, especially after signing a rookie contract with Seattle – and tonight the move was officially sealed.
“It’s always exciting for me – as a coach – when we can add a player of this caliber to the team,” enthused Barrie coach Marty Williamson. “Everyone on the executive team is looking forward to welcoming Eduard here and helping him in his further development.”
Šalé did not even play in this year’s preparatory matches for Kometa. However, a return to the Czech Republic has not yet been ruled out, Seattle’s decision was awaited – they finally recommended the promising winger a path through the Canadian junior team.
Let us remind you that the Krakens pointed to Brno’s hope this June from the overall 20th position – Šalé was thus the highest drafted Czech.

He impressed scouts both on the club and international stage. In the Tipsport extra league, he became the rookie of the season: in 43 matches of the regular season, he impressed with a record of 7+7 and effective raids.
In the national team’s 18, he dominated the team’s productivity both at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup and subsequently at the World Championship. From Šalé’s point of view, the highlight of the season was the silver from the junior championship, to which he contributed six points.
