(ANSA) – LIMBADI, 06 MAY – On the eighth anniversary of her kidnapping and killing, hundreds of people gathered in Limbadi, in the Vibonese area, to remember the businesswoman Maria Chindamo, 42 years old, victim of the ‘Ndrangheta. The body of the businesswoman, who was kidnapped while she was on one of the agricultural lands she managed, has never been found. According to some justice collaborators, the woman’s body was fed to the pigs. The initiative to commemorate Maria Chindamo, which took place in the place where the businesswoman was kidnapped, was promoted by some associations. Among the participants were representatives of Libera, Penelope, Agape and Goel and the world of school; local administrators and members of the clergy, led by Monsignor Attilio Nostro, bishop of the Diocese of Mileto-Nicotera-Tropea. Maria Chindamo’s brother, Vincenzo, underlined “the massive participation in the demonstration. The population – he said – increasingly shows that it rebels against certain logic.
