Eight theater groups come together to give life to the play “Alex and Emma”

The Puerto Rico Theater Lab (PRTL) company celebrates its first anniversary with an invitation to eight other local theater groups to unite their respective talents and creativity in the same piece, “Alex and Emma”, which will take the virtual stage on the 11th , February 12 and 13, in live functions, at 8:00 pm, through the digital platform ZOOM.

This artistic endeavor is part of PRTL’s initiatives to stay innovative and active during this time of pandemic with the primary interest of continuing to educate about the arts and provide safe and refreshing entertainment options.

“Alex and Emma” will bring together the companies: Sorgen, Scene7, ArteEscena, Teatro Público, Pompearte, La V, Theater Touch and Taller Artístico de Caguas. A total of 18 actors, two from each group, will bring the story to life.

The piece “Alex and Emma” presents a relationship with as many possibilities as a blank page. It is said that there are loves that exceed a life. What if there are loves that exist in more than one universe? “Alex” and “Emma” live in countless forms, intensities, pronouns, beginnings, endings.

The direction of this project will be in charge of Edgardo Soto, who is the artistic director of PRTL.
