The Gijón hospitality industry reinvents itself in times of pandemic. Locals cannot open their doors, but the distribution of home menus. And some Gjionese restaurants have already joined a campaign of Gijón Tourism to publicize the list of establishments that offer this service. Account its director, Angela Banos, that the initiative is focused on “that these local businesses survive” and that it is aimed not only at citizens who do not know or do not want to cook, but also at “people displaced for professional reasons” who are staying outside their usual residences.
So far they are eight the locals that have joined the initiative. It’s about the restaurants Zascandil, El Cencerro, El Quinto, Acicorbo, Casavella, Parrilla Antonio I, Sibuya and Café Plaza.
