“Eight killed, four wounded – these are the consequences of the Torecka shooting,” Kirilenko wrote on the Telegram messaging platform.
Three children are among the injured, added Kirilenko.
He also said that several high-rise residential buildings, as well as a church building, were damaged in the shooting. An assistant priest was injured.
Kirilenko has repeatedly called on the residents of the Donetsk region to evacuate from the threatened area.
Already from the territory of the Donetsk region controlled by Ukraine two thirds of the population have evacuatedbut about 250,000 people still remain there.
“All those who still remain in the Donetsk region are putting themselves in danger of death. I appeal to all residents of the region: do not make yourself a target for Russia! It is better to evacuate in time,” appeals Kirilenko.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to start invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine. Putin claimed that NATO was going to use Ukraine as a springboard for aggression against Russia, although there was no evidence for these claims. Ukraine believes that Putin’s real goal is to destroy Ukrainian statehood and bring the territory under Moscow’s control.
