Eight deaths were recorded today in two shootings in USA, the first during a birthday celebration in Colorado Springs and the rest in a hotel of Phoenix.
Seven people died in the first of the events, when a gunman fired during a birthday party where his fiancée was, and committed suicide, according to US media cited by the Italian news agency ANSA.
According to the police, the children attending the party were unharmed.
The aggressor’s mobile to carry out the killing is unknown, added ANSA.
The other shooting occurred at a hotel in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, where one person was killed and at least seven were injured.

According to the police, it was a dispute during an event in which the
people involved in the incident, all between 18 and 22 years old, ANSA concluded.
Last April, in his first concrete announcement of measures on the issue of weapons, President Joe Biden warned that the country is going through an “epidemic” of armed violence and called for a ban on the sale of “assault rifles and high-capacity magazines” to individuals.
The US president announced then that he will impose stronger regulations for the construction of homemade weapons and inject more funds for agencies and institutions that are dedicated to policies to prevent armed violence.

Last year, firearms killed more than 43,000 people in the country, including suicides, according to the Gun Violence Archive website.
The organization registered 611 “mass shootings”, defined as those that leave at least four victims, in 2020, against 417 the previous year.
