Hello everyone and welcome to our LIVE LIVE of the third stage of the Giro d’Italia 2020. They will be 150 kilometers scheduled for today’s stage that will be staged from Enna to the first real ascent of this Corsa Rosa: Etna, which will be addressed by Piano Provenzana. It will be a moving stage in the first part, with a first category GPM classified final. A great fight is expected among those who are playing the general classification of this Giro.
The first 130 km of approaching the volcano are a continuous succession of more or less intense climbs and descents. From Linguaglossa will begin the final climb, which measures 18.9 km and climbs on the north-east side of Etna following an alternation of hairpin bends along more or less recent lava flows. There average slope is 6.6%, but the last 3 kilometers, close to 2000 meters of altitude, present averages of 9% and a peak of 11% 1500 meters from the finish.
If on the one hand, in all probability, Filippo Ganna will lose his Maglia Rosa, on the other side Ineos Grenadiers he could immediately regain leadership with the designated captain Geraint Thomas. Among other favorites we also have Jakob Fuglsang (Astana), Rafal Majka (Bora-hansgrohe) e Steven Kruijswijk (Jumbo-Visma).
