EIB Allocates 400 Million Euros for Renewable Energy Investment in Greece and EU Countries

The European Investment Bank has allocated 400 million euros to support investment in renewable energy production throughout Greece and the European Union countries.

According to an EIB statement, a new set of solar PV projects and battery storage systems will be deployed until 2027 that will add capacity of approximately 2.6 GW for a total value of 2.5 billion euros, with projects being rolled out across the European Union.

Alban stated that the new projects are located in various less developed and transitional regions across Greece and the European Union, and therefore, the EIB financing will support new investment in cohesion areas, where per capita income is lower than the EU average, underscoring the commitment to equitable growth. And living standards converge.
