Gianluca Ogi from Winterthur will find his way back to EHC Kloten for the coming 23/24 season. He was quoted on Thursday in the EHC Winterthur press release: “It feels good to be part of the EHCW family again. I can’t wait to get back on the ice for my childhood club and for this city.” The newcomer is looking forward to the change after four years with the offspring of EHC Kloten. The 19-year-old striker held the captaincy of the Klotener U20 elite team. In addition, he was able to gain experience at EHC Bülach in the MyHockey League.
Striker Jayson Ren has signed again with EHC Winterthur. He has already made 17 appearances in head coach Teppo Kivelä’s team. Ren is also happy to be able to play for EHC Winterthur again: “I really enjoyed my time in Winterthur, which made me sign here again. Our goal has to be a playoff spot.” The 19-year-old striker was last loaned out by Lausanne. Last season, Ren scored two goals for EHC Winterthur and another 50 points for the LHC U20 Elit team.
The defender Bo Salerno from EHC Arosa joins the Eulachstadt team as the third player. Salerno has its roots in Ticino at HC Lugano. The 25-year-old completed the last five seasons at EHC Arosa in the My Hockey League. Salerno is grateful for the move to the Swiss League team: “I’m very ambitious and I’m fighting for my goals. Team spirit is one of my strengths, I will give my all.”
As reported by EHC Winterthur, all three players have signed for one season with EHC Winterthur.
The two EV Zug strikers Louis Betschmann and Yanick Antenen had also joined the squad a few days earlier. In addition, the contract with Jannik Fröwis was extended and the goalie positions for the 23/24 season were filled.
