EHC Red Bull Munich wins derby against ERC Ingolstadt in the SAP Garden

Atmospheric SAP Garden, Red Bulls, dangerous guests – the Upper Bavaria derby left little to be desired from the start. Both teams also created a number of good chances, especially when they had the advantage. But Mathias Niederberger from Munich and Devin Williams from Ingolstadt kept their box clean. And that was not enough, six minutes later a double strike made the SAP Garden shake: First DeSousa took the lead, 14 seconds later Weber made it even 3-1 for the Red Bulls. In the final third, the Panthers struggled to score. Munich defended with full commitment, did not allow any clear chances and failed offensively again. One of those pins came to a decision in the 55th minute when Kastner made it 4-1 after a good contact with Andreas Eder. Ehliz scored the last point to make it 5-1 (59′) and the sold-out SAP Garden marked the third home win at EHC Red Bull Munich.
