EHC Freiburg reactivates Tobias Kunz and David Danner

Lesedauer: ca. 1 Minute

With Tobias Kunz and David Danner, EHC Freiburg has licensed two more players to secure the squad, which has been significantly decimated by injuries and Corona.

Both players are old friends in Freiburg and ice hockey Germany. 700-game man Tobias Kunz is the Wolves player with the most competitive games. He wore the jersey of EHC Freiburg his whole life without exception and lived through the promotion from the regional league to the DEL2 on Ensisheimerstraße. After the 2019/20 season, Kunz focused on his job and ended his impressive professional career. In the current season he kept fit with the 1B team of EHC Freiburg.

With David Danner – the older brother of EHC captain Simon Danner – another native of Freiburg returns to the ice. David Danner also learned to play ice hockey in Breisgau and, in addition to the Wolves, also played for Wolfsburg, Kassel and Augsburg in the top German division. David Danner ended his professional sporting career in 2014 in order to reposition himself professionally and successfully.

Both players will be used as backup and provide some relief in the more than battered Wolves squad.
