EHC Freiburg, who play against Bad Nauheim and in Crimmitschau at the weekend, has signed a new player: 22-year-old Luca Trinkberger, who comes from Landshut.
In Luca Trinkberger there is a new player in the ranks of the wolves. The striker comes from the Bayern league team of ESC Dorfen, for which he has played three games in the current season, in the Breisgau.
Trinkberger learned to play ice hockey in his native Landshut. At Bayern he went through the entire youth department and was able to celebrate promotion to the DEL2 with EV Landshut in his first season in the senior division 2018/19. In the promotion season in the league, the then 20-year-old, including the playoffs, got 14 points. Last season, the left-handed shooter played in 34 games for the league competitor in the DEL2 and also gained further experience with the Eisbären Regensburg in the Oberliga.
EHC coach Peter Russell said: “We are always interested in making our squad even better and are looking for the right players to advance us as a team. We are happy to welcome Luca, such a player, to the club. This commitment helps us to get wider in our attack. He has a good physique, is an excellent skater and plays with a lot of heart. “
If all formalities are met in time, Luca Trinkberger (22) will make his debut for EHC Freiburg this weekend – either on Friday (7.30 p.m.) in the home game against Bad Nauheim or on Sunday (5 p.m.) in Crimmitschau. With the wolves, Trinkberger will appear with the shirt number 23.
