Regarding the path of university hospitals, the state’s efforts varied between establishing and opening new hospitals, in addition to developing existing university hospitals in the period 2014 – 2023), as the number of university hospitals increased to 125 university hospitals in 2023 compared to 88 hospitals in 2014, and the number of beds reached 36.9 One thousand beds in 2023 at a cost of 27.5 billion Egyptian pounds, compared to 29.8 thousand beds in 2014.

The number of intensive care beds reached 5,030 beds at a cost of 2 billion Egyptian pounds, compared to 3,000 beds in 2014, and the number of medical convoys reached 535 convoys, with a total of 303.5 thousand beneficiary cases.
