Al-Marsad newspaper: An Egyptian woman recounted the details of her divorce from her marriage in absentia, and revealed his position when she told him that his son needed an operation worth 10,000 pounds.
She explained that she went to her father’s house after disagreements occurred between them, and her husband called her and said: “Come and remain a servant to my three daughters and my mother. Either you leave it in your family’s house.”
She continued: “He filed an obedience case against me, and he called me and told me there was a girl I would marry, and his condition was that the new dowry would be a divorce from the old one, and I would divorce you and I don’t have anything I need, and I don’t want my son and I won’t spend on him.”
She continued: I told him that I do not want alimony, but your son needs an operation for 10 thousand pounds. He said that your son does not want to and we will not pay anything for him. I asked him to take him and go with him to the doctor, but he refused.
She added: “I was surprised by the official telling me that my husband had divorced me in my absence, and I filed a case on the list. During the sessions, his mother, wearing gold, was present with him, and he insulted me. After 8 months, he traveled to his work in Saudi Arabia.”
