The video clip was circulating during Sisi’s speech at the Egyptian family’s iftar partyWhere he said: “My heart is iron.. By God.. Of course my heart is iron. Who? Listen so I don’t take out much of the word we say. When I say the word, what does it mean? What does it mean to people..”
Al-Sisi continued, saying: “I want to tell you about something that was happening in the past years… and I don’t mean when I call it now that it is a projection of something, I swear, but there were difficult days that came upon us and every incident happened inside Egypt at any point in Upper Egypt.” Cairo, Alexandria, and North Sinai, where Egyptian civilians, or even members of the army and police, were killed, and it was difficult for all of us.”
