Today, Friday, the Egyptian Medicines Authority warned citizens and medical service providers of possible Gleevec 400 mg tablets on the market.
The authority stated that it had received a notification from the company that owns the drug Gleevec 400 mg, about possible packages that may be present in the Egyptian pharmaceutical market and that do not belong to it, bearing the number 8865MF.
She indicated that the apparent differences between the original and counterfeit packages of Gleevec 400 mg are represented in the presence of a difference in the color gradation of the package and the lack of the letter “L” in the word Tablets in the counterfeit packages.
The Egyptian Medicines Authority called on citizens and medical service providers to exercise caution and immediately report to the authority if any of these counterfeit packages were detected in the market.
