The Egyptian Medicine Authority called for the seizure and seizure of any batch of the drug “Deltaclav – Syrup” that may be found in the local market and government units.
The Authority said in Circular No. 27 of 2023 that the specific batch of the drug “Deltaclav 228.5 mg/5ml” bears the number: 21845, produced by the Egypt Pharmaceuticals Factory, attributing this to the fact that the product issued to it did not conform to that batch by the Egyptian Drug Authority laboratories.
The drug is used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria, such as pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and skin infections.
She stressed that in the event of a complaint, please refer to the pharmacist to verify the packaging, or call the hotline 15301, or the Authority’s website.
